Let Freedom Reign
As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, we’re reminded that while we are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy as a nation, true and lasting freedom is found only in Jesus Christ. Through His sacrifice, Jesus sets us free from sin and calls us to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, living lives that reflect His love and truth. May we celebrate with gratitude, boldly share the hope of the Gospel, and live each day in the freedom that only Christ can give.
Trusting When You Don’t Understand
When life doesn't make sense, God invites us to trust Him beyond what we can see. Through the story of the three kings in 2 Kings 3, we’re reminded that obedience often comes before understanding, and that God uses our faithfulness to prepare the way for His provision. Even in the driest valleys, a word from God can sustain us, strengthen our faith, and remind us to keep going because He is always working—even when we can't yet see it.
Leaving a Legacy
What does it mean to leave a legacy that truly lasts? Looking at the life of Abraham this Father’s Day, we’re reminded that lasting success is not found in possessions, achievements, or status, but in knowing our identity in God, valuing His presence above all else, and faithfully following His calling. As we live with eternity in mind, may we leave behind a legacy of faith that impacts generations and points others to Jesus.
Vision Sunday: Making More Room for What Matters Most
On Vision Sunday, we were reminded that God’s vision for Bridgewood is not simply about growing a church, but about making more room for people to encounter Jesus and experience transformed lives. Through God’s faithfulness, the generosity of our church family, and a bold step of faith through our expansion project, we are positioning ourselves to reach more people both now and in the future. As we move forward together, our mission remains clear: the goal is not to fill a house, but to fill heaven.
Desperate for Change: Filling the Hunger Only Jesus Can Satisfy
What feeds us ultimately leads us, and the students of Next Gen Young Communicator Sunday shared powerful stories of discovering that only Jesus can truly satisfy the deepest hunger of the soul. Through struggles with addiction, uncertainty, temptation, and lukewarm faith, they found freedom, healing, and purpose by surrendering their lives to Christ and pursuing Him through His Word, prayer, worship, and community. Their testimonies serve as a reminder that when we become desperate for Jesus, He transforms our lives and leads us into the hope and future He has prepared for us.
Leading From Behind
In Isaiah 30, God reminds us that while life can feel uncertain and overwhelming, His voice is faithfully guiding us one step at a time. Through prayer, perseverance in difficult seasons, and obedience to His leading, we learn to trust Him more deeply rather than relying on our own understanding. Even when we can't see the full path ahead, God continues to whisper, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Winning the War Within
Romans 8 reminds us that every believer faces a daily battle between the flesh and the Spirit—a tension even the Apostle Paul experienced. The good news is that God has not left us to fight alone; the Holy Spirit empowers us, reminds us that we are children of God, and gives us strength to live in victory. When we stop relying on willpower and lean into the Spirit, we discover the freedom, hope, and grace found only through Jesus Christ.
It’s All Good
Romans 8:28 reminds us that even in the middle of pain, suffering, and unanswered questions, God is still at work for the good of those who love Him. This promise does not mean life will always be comfortable or easy, but that God can redeem every season and use it to shape us more into the image of Christ. Even when we cannot see the bigger picture, we can trust that God is good, sovereign, and faithful through it all.
