Storms often leave us asking where God is—but Scripture reminds us that He is our refuge and ever-present help in trouble. From Joshua at the edge of the Promised Land to Peter stepping out onto stormy waters, we see that God’s presence, our obedience, and His faithfulness reveal beauty even in the hardest seasons. When the wind is loud and the waves feel overwhelming, we can trust that He is still near, still working, and still reaching out His hand.
Beauty in the Storm
What God has for you is on the other side of your YES. In the story of Joshua, we see that God doesn’t give every detail, but He does give a clear direction—to go—and He promises His presence to those who move forward in obedience and courage. Breakthrough comes when faith takes action, because miracles, victory, and promise are often revealed only after we take the step God is asking us to take and go for it!
Go For It - Give God Your YES
Mother’s Day is often filled with celebration and happy memories. But for many, it can also stir up hurt. In Luke 2, the story of Anna reminds us that God often does His greatest work through lives marked by grief, waiting, and disappointment. Though her story carried deep “wrinkles” of loss and sorrow, Anna stayed faithful to God’s presence, and because of that faithfulness, she recognized Jesus when others missed Him. Our pain may mark us, but it does not define us—God redeems wrinkled stories and uses them to reveal His goodness & grace.
Thank God for the Wrinkles
Mother’s Day can bring both joy and deep grief, as many carry hidden pain, loss, and broken expectations. In 1 Kings 17, the widow of Zarephath’s story reminds us that even in seasons of provision and miracles, unexpected suffering can still come—but God remains present and faithful in every moment. Through it all, Scripture assures us that His mercies are new every morning, and as we continually seek Him, we find hope, strength, and the unchanging truth of His love.
